We read Cook-a-Doodle-Doo! It is a different version of the Little Red Hen story. In this version the Little Red Hen's great grandson "Rooster" found her old cookbook. He decided to make strawberry shortcake from the cookbook. We got to make our own strawberry shortcake with Mrs. Klug's class. Mrs. Simmon's and Warstler's class came down and shared their pizza that they made with us-- and we shared our strawberry shortcake with them! The LRH books are all about sharing and community! What a great end to our LRH unit!
